Ways To Volunteer

 

Traditional In-Classroom

  Where: In a school classroom in our community

As a JA Traditional Volunteer, you'll be paired with a teacher in a classroom. This delivery method is an effective and popular way to show students a connection between the skills they are learning in the classroom and how they can get a more fulfilling career and life.

JA Titan Business Challenge Mentor

  Where: In-Person: In our community

As a volunteer mentor, you'll help guide students through the JA Titan simulation, assist with the decision-making process and keep them on time and on task.

JA Stock Market Challenge

  Where: In-Person: In Our Community

As a volunteer, you'll help guide students through the JA Take Stock in your Future curriculum and apply it to the real world with a team of 3 - 4 students in a live simulation Competition. During the Competition you'll support them as they build their portfolio and spend 60 days in a fictional stock market to see how their investments perform. We are looking for volunteers as 'floor traders' too.

JA Career Speaker

  Where: In Person: Middle School or High School

As a speaker, you will present the same information 3 times to four different groups of students. Group sizes will range between 15 to 30 students per session. A teacher or parent volunteer will be available for help during your 30-minute sessions. Presentations can include a slideshow or videos but are not required.

K-12 Learning Experiences

Elementary

Young kids are the best. If you have a child in elementary school and want to share your experiences while presenting multimedia financial education and enjoy working with younger kids, contact JA of Wisconsin - South Central Region to learn more about volunteering with JA!

Middle School

Middle School students are the best. Volunteering with kids can be so much fun but it helps when those students are more engaged and curious about the future and the kind of jobs that exist. High School

Young adults are the best. If you enjoy working with kids that are ready to tackle the world but are looking for the paths to be opened up to them and are fascinated by innovation and entrepreneurship, contact JA of Wisconsin - South Central Region to learn about volunteering with JA.
